Wiland top 10 finish leads Men's Golf to T7 finish at Koala Invitational

Fr. Vilgot Wiland shot a 73, 77 to finish T10 and lead the Fire Ants Men's Golf team to a top 10 (T7) performance at the Koala Invitational, hosted by Timberlake CC in Chapin, SC. Wiland heated up on the back nine of Timberlake CC with three birdies, including back to back on 17 and 18 to finish the 1st round 2-over 73. After a tough front nine in Round 2, the freshman Wiland bounced back with nine straight pars to conclude his T10 combined score of 150. Other notable performers for the Fire Ants were Alex Staahlgren finishing T25 at +15 (76,81). Staahlgreen had a team high five birdies in the tournament. Blanding Franks finished T33 at +17 (77,82) helping USC Sumter to a T7 finish in the Koala Invitational, which featured over 100 players and 20 teams.
