USC Sumter Men's Soccer continued its strong start to the season with a dominant 3–0 victory over Gardner-Webb University JV. The Fire Ants controlled the tempo from kickoff to the final whistle, earning their third win of the season and improving to 4–1 overall.
The scoring opened in the 33rd minute when Ciro Ottado found the back of the net off a well-placed assist from Luciano Viejo. Viejo then added a goal of his own in the 60th minute, showcasing his individual skill with an unassisted strike. Just eight minutes later, Lautaro Guerra sealed the win with a third goal, again assisted by Viejo, who finished the match with 1 goal and 2 assists.
Defensively, USC Sumter was impenetrable. Goalkeepers Kevin Guthmann and Martin Pastrello combined for 5 saves and a clean sheet, while the back line kept Gardner-Webb JV from registering any goals or assists.
The Fire Ants outshot their opponents and maintained control in midfield, with contributions from Lewis Henry, Joaquin Gomez, and Avram Juzbasic helping to keep possession and build attacking opportunities.
